BMSCE IEEE organized a workshop in association with SSIT Bangalore section and Nagarjuna College of Engineering. The workshop was conducted by Mr Balaji B G from ABB on Education after Graduation in Engineering. The workshop took place for two hours.
Dr Meena P, Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics and Dr. Ravi Shankar Dixit, Head of Department, Department of Electrical and Electronics graced the event along with 60 students from across different branches and years.
In the period of two hours Mr Balaji told the students the various domains they can get into and also organised a hands on where students were asked to look for courses of their choice in various universities across the globe. Among other things he told us about the kind of courses students can take up, the choice based on durations, specialization and discipline.
At the end of the event he took up questions. There were two questions to which he answered patiently.
The first question was about the right time to start preparation for such courses. To which he answered that fixed time anybody can start anytime and succeed if they work hard and strive for success. The second question was a little political, it was about the prospects of American post graduate education after the elections of USA won by Donald Trump. The crowd was amused by the question. Mr Balaji addressed this question by replying that the USA universities get a lot of potential and talented students from countries like India and also their economics depends on these students. So it’s unlikely that the education would be affected.
Finally, everybody gathered for a group photograph. Students were given refreshment and BMSCE IEEE puts another successful event in the list of all other events it conducted this year and the years before.
