As a part of PhaseShift 2017, BMSCE IEEE conducted SNS Hack-A- Thon on September 16th, 2017 at the CSE lab of BMSCE from 1 pm to 5 pm. The workshop fees for IEEE members was Rs 150/- and for Non-IEEE members it was Rs 200/-. 6 teams participated in this event, including both IEEE members and non-IEEE members.
SNS Hack-A-Thon was co-organized with Protocol, CSE Student Club of BMSCE. A YouTube song finder program was written and embedded with bugs. This code was then pushed to BMSCE IEEE’s GitHub repository and these bug-ridden programs were deployed on Raspberry Pi’s. Contestants had to pull the code, find the bugs, correct them and push them to their own branches on the repo. They could test their code on Raspberry Pi’s.
The event was a huge success and the contestants had a great time. Huge thanks to the event sponsors, Nokia, and congratulations to the team for putting in their tremendous efforts. we had Team Tau taking away the gold, and Team SuperMonster clocking in at a close second.
